Experience The Divine Presence Of Goddess Parvati At Nimishambha Temple

Nimishambha Temple is located few kilometres away from Srirangapatna region in Karnataka. This Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and the name Nimishamba is referred to a reincarnation of Devi Parvati. It has become quite famous among tourists for several reasons. Many people consider the goddess Nimishamba as extremely powerful and benevolent wishes to her. It is believed that the supreme goddess is the epitome of forgiveness and will remove any trouble for her devotees. This temple is located on the bank of the river Kaveri which flows from one side of this religious shrine.

This is an ancient Temple that was constructed over 300 years ago during the reign of Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodiyar. People who have had problems with marriage proposals or have difficulty finding a proper match for marriage come to this Temple. It is believed that the goddess Nimishamba can solve any problem regarding marriage proposal.

The architecture of this Temple is not too complicated but very elegant. Statues of Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Lakshmi can be found on either side of the entrance at the Temple. A Sri Chakra can also be found which has been cut out of a block of stone. Apart from the main temple of goddess Nimishamba other idols of Hindu Gods like Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Ganesh and Narayana can also be found on the temple ground.

Even though the temperature does not have extravagant craftsmanship for elaborate architecture, it is quite important for Hindu devotees. Nimishambha temple is one of the four significant Holy spots which can be found in the town of Srirangapatna. The stone sculptures have been intricately designed which can be found on the outer body of the Temple thought not much color has been used. The overall look is quite monochrome however you will certainly feel her extreme power when around goddess Nimishamba.
