Pattadakallu Dance Festival

Pattadakallu Dance festival is held every year under the sponsorship of Govt of Karnataka. Invited dancers delight spectators by showcasing their talent in the backdrop of famous temples of Pattadakallu.

While exact dates and schedules may vary each year, Pattadakallu Dance Festival is usually held in the month of January.

Highlights of Pattadakallu Dance Festival

  • A treat for classical dance lovers: Expert dancers from all parts of Karnataka perform on stages set with Pattadakallu’s famous temples in the background.
  • An opportunity to witness multiple dance forms under one event: Pattadakallu dance festival showcases different forms of dance, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Yakshagana, Mohini Attam etc. Thus the event is a unique opportunity to witness and familiarize ourselves with various dance forms.
  • Networking opportunity to dance and theatre professionals, fans
  • Craft Mela: An exhibition of handicrafts and gift items give visitors a unique opportunity to experience local art & craft, as well as take home some unique souvenirs

Pattadakallu is 445 kms from Bengaluru. Hubballi is the nearest airport (130 kms from Pattadakallu). Badami is the nearest railway station (17 kms from Pattadakallu). Pattadakallu has good bus service and road connectivity from Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka.
