Srirangapatna
The historical and heritage town of Mandya also has one of the best places for Eco-tourism. The Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary was declared a sanctuary in 1940 and is a paradise for bird watchers, and nature lovers. Located on the banks of River Cauvery, the sanctuary has resident and migratory birds like a painted stork, kingfishers, river tern, egrets, pelicans, and many more.
