Step into the floral fantasy world
The Cubbon Park Flower Show 2025 is happening right now. The event began on November 27th and is scheduled to end on December 7th

This is the first time in many years that the Horticulture Department has organized a show of this scale at Cubbon Park, aiming to offer an alternative to the crowded Lalbagh shows.
Main Attractions to Look For:
The show is located along the walkway from the Bandstand to the Bal Bhavan Gate. The setup is different from Lalbagh because it focuses on open-air installations under the tree canopy.

The organizers have used over 35,000 potted plants to create specific themes celebrating Children’s Day and Karnataka Rajyotsava. Here is what you will see:
- Vegetable Sculptures: The biggest draw is a large elephant statue made entirely from vegetables like gourds and capsicums.
- The Floral Chariot: A detailed replica of the Hampi stone chariot, constructed using thousands of chrysanthemums and roses.
- Art Displays: Uniquely, this flower show includes an art exhibition featuring works, blending painting with nature.

Dates, Ticket Prices and Timings:
Entry is not free, but it is affordable. Tickets are available at the entry gates (cash and UPI are generally accepted, recommeded to carry hard cash on a safer side.

Is It Worth Going?
If you enjoy photography or gardening, yes. It is a rare chance to see Cubbon Park dressed up in this specific way. While it is smaller than the Republic Day show at Lalbagh, it is significantly shadier and cooler, making it a pleasant walk even in the afternoon.
The best time to visit is early morning, right when the gates open at 6:00 AM, to beat the crowds and get the best light for photos.
Quick Tips for a Smooth Visit:
- Don’t Touch the Art: The vegetable and flower sculptures are fragile. Security is tight, and fines are issued for crossing the barriers or plucking flowers.
- Beat the Rush: The crowds peak after 10:00 AM. Arrive between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM for a peaceful walk and better photos.
- Carry Cash: While UPI is accepted, mobile networks often jam due to the heavy crowd. Keep ₹30/₹10 change handy for a faster entry.
- Strictly No Plastic: Cubbon Park is a plastic-free zone. Security will confiscate single-use plastic bottles and bags at the gate. Bring a reusable water bottle.
- Watch Your Kids: The crowds are dense, so keep children within arm’s reach at all times and slip a note with your phone number into their pocket just in case.
