History of Unkal Lake
Unkal Lake is a historical water body created much earlier; however, Sir M. Visvesvaraya designed the modern water supply pumping and piping infrastructure at the lake in the early 20th century (around 1910–1912) to systematically channel drinking water to the twin cities.
