Chalukya Utsava (festival) is an annual cultural and heritage festival held in historic cities of Badami and Aihole in north Karnataka. Chalukya Utsava is celebrated as a two or three days event, usually early February.

While the exact schedule varies each year, generic highlights of the Chalukya Festival are given below. Chalukya festival gives a perfect excuse to visit Badami and Aihole, explore ancient cave temples and historic sites, while witnessing various cultural extravaganzas put forth by talented performers.

Note: Chalukya Utsava may be suspended on certain years in case of drought in the region.

How to reach: Badami is 450 kms from Bengaluru. Hubballi is the nearest airport (105 kms from Badami). Badami has a train station and good bus service and road connectivity from Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka. Aihole is 35 kms from Badami.
