Ramakrishna Ashrama is a chain of Hindu monasteries set up by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, who was a 19th century saint known for initiating various social reforms.
Ramakrishna Ashrama is part of Ramakrishna mission, the umbrella organization runs several educational institutions and spiritual programs all over the world. The Ashrama in Basavanagudi is their main centre in Bengaluru city.

Visiting Hours: Ramakrishna Ashrama’s main is open to visitors from 5 AM till 12 Noon and from 4 PM till 8.30 PM. Office, library and other facilities open from 9 AM till 12 Noon and 4 PM till 6.30 PM.

Ramakrishna Ashrama is 40 kms from Bengaluru International Airport and 5 kms from Bengaluru city centre (Majestic). Bengaluru is the nearest railway station. National College is the nearest metro station. The Ashrama can be reached using bus, metro, auto or taxi from any part of Bengaluru.
Stay: Multiple hotels are available near Ramakrishna Ashrama. KR Market and Majestic area (5 kms away) has several budget hotels. Luxury hotels are available in Jayanagar, Residency road and race course road.
