INS Chapal was an active warship with Indian navy and the star of naval warfare during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. INS Chapal is now decommissioned, converted into a museum and attracts visitors in the city of Karwar, North Canara.

Visitors can experience the interiors of INS Chapal warship; barracks used by staff, engine rooms, external guns, uniforms of the servicemen and gain an insight about life at sea. A 15 minutes video documentary will be shown explaining Indian Navy’s role in safeguarding India’s shores.
