Gudavi Bird Sanctuary:
Gudavi Bird sanctuary is located in the neat and clean town of Sorab, just beside Gudvi Lake. It is also famous for being the home for migrating birds, including Little Cormorant, Indian Cormorant, and the Jungle Fowl, making the atmosphere enchanting in the July to October season.
Bonal Bird Sanctuary:
Another most visited bird sanctuary in Karnataka is the Bonal Bird sanctuary situated on the outskirts of the Shorapur province. It is famous for the variety of migrating birds gracing the beauty every year, some of which are the purple Heron and the white-necked Stork.
Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary:
A beautifully constructed dam across the Cauvery River prompted the development of islets of Ranganathittu. A 16-km drive from Mysore City, the bird reserve is one of the most loved Bird Sanctuaries of outlandish migrating birds like Heron, River Tern, White Ibis, Partridge, Spoonbills, and other Exotic Birds coming all across the globe. Not only in the State, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is one of the most exotic Bird reserves in entire India.
Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary:
This Bird Sanctuary is not just picturesque but also serves a very important role in maintaining a balance in the ecosystem. The safe-haven is arranged on an island that traverses a space of 1.14 sections of land and it is encircled by backwoods. More than 5,000 birds migrate here in the July to September belt.
Magadi Bird Sanctuary:
Magadi Bird Sanctuary has been famous for its much-anticipated variety of bar-headed goose that truly makes the place serene and utopian. It has been the home for this lovely species for more than a decade now and continues to be one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Karnataka.
