Introduction
The Chamundi Hills, located 12 km from Mysuru, is home to Goddess Chamundeshwari, the patron deity of the Mysuru Royal Family. Built in the Dravidian style architecture, the 17th-century Chamundeshwari temple features a richly-attired image of the deity. An older Ganga-era Mahabaleshwara Temple is also located on the hilltop.
