| It
takes immense pleasure for us to thank
the KSTDC, Bangalore Walks and the Radio
City, for making another danepsquib
of a weekend into an unforgettable one
(it may sound cliched by now). it brings
tears to our eyes when we realised scores
of people have put in their sweat and
toil to make one trip a success and
have they succeeded in it. God! the
trip was fantabulous, what with a liveband
accompanying us.
We have soaked in so much of history,
heritage and culture. A big thanks to
Mr.Keshav of ASI for explaining the
history of Hampi so well that it has
etched deeply in our minds. We were
literally transported back to the era.
I am sure he was closely associated
with the empire during his past lives
and he may be too happy to be reborn
in Hampi (ofcourse if he beleives in
rebirth). India is a treasure trone
of culture and heritage, buried in deeply
under the passage of time that it takes
at least a thousand Mr.Keshavs to restore
all that past glory. His work should
be duly recognised by the government.
We always have a preconcieved notion
that government officials come into
the office only to go out for coffee
breaks. This was shattered by KSTDC.
We hope the department keeps up the
good work and wish KSTDC will be voted
the best in the country. May all the
future trips be a roaring success that
the first trip was.
