INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENTS
 
There is heavy emphasis on public-private partnership in infrastructure development. Major destinations in Karnataka are connected by some of the best roads in the country. In the aviation sector, developments include the new Bangalore International Airport, with a capacity of 11 million passengers; an international airport at Mangalore; regular flights to Bellary, Hubli and Belgaum; and new airports for Mysore, Hassan, Bijapur and Gulbarga; and a state-wide network of 23 new helipads.
